Sean has more than 25 years’ construction experience, beginning as a chartered MSc-qualified quantity surveyor. His career has seen him develop specific emphasis on key account management in both the public and private sectors.
Sean’s leadership experience gained at a tier one contractor and framework director level, working in the London and South East, notably on large scale projects such as the King's Cross regeneration development, means he is well-versed in the diverse requirements of the construction market in his business unit, from the northern and southern home counties to Central London.
One of our values is to challenge the status quo and it’s exciting to see our people rise to this challenge on a daily basis. Whether it’s developing innovative solutions to solve complex scenarios associated with construction - such as solutions to working in tight, inner city conditions or sourcing ways of working in a more sustainable and environmentally friendly way. We’re proud that this work will contribute not only to Morgan Sindall Construction, but also benefit understanding and best practice in the wider industry.Close
Peter was appointed to his current role as managing director for the East business unit in 2019. It is in fact the second time he has joined the business, having joined Amec in 2004 which later became part of Morgan Sindall Group. He initially ran the Ipswich office, focusing on major projects in the East before relocating in 2010 to become regional managing director of the Southern business. Peter has also held senior positions at other tier one contractors, leading construction businesses in their Eastern and Southern divisions.
The team in the East has a wide-ranging portfolio of completed projects across Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk. As well as a considerable focus on the education sector with the team being active on all four County Council frameworks, the East team has a strong background in health, commercial and leisure projects. More recently in Essex, the team has set up a new office in Chelmsford, providing a long-term base in which they can better serve this ever-growing community.
The diversity of areas in the East such as rural, coastal, city and suburban locations all within one region is what makes it unique, as our stakeholders' long-term plans for growth and sustainability in these areas differ greatly. This is where the team is really able to utilise our decentralised approach to offer a bespoke service to customers which is uniquely suited to them.Close
