As part of our works at Ysgol 3-19 Brenin Harri’r VIII / King Henry VIII 3-19 School, this Spring the Morgan Sindall team jointly with Cass Scaffolding took part in planting 2000 trees of mixed species in the Abergavenny Community on the land opposite Deri View Primary School.
These trees will become the hedgerows providing additional natural habitats for the local wildlife. This has been a joint venture between CASS UK, Carma and Morgan Sindall Construction with Green Task Force Wales supervising and providing expertise.
This venture has been part of Morgan Sindall’s commitment to giving back to the Abergavenny Community and environment, providing an immediate impact on Carbon reduction and Net Biodiversity Gain over and above the contractual commitments of the project.
The day also provided a great opportunity to support Mental Health by getting active outside in nature, team building and working together to support a great cause.
Steve Langford, Project Director at Morgan Sindall for the Ysgol 3-19 Brenin Harri’r VIII / King Henry VIII 3-19 School project, said:
A massive thank you to Cass for linking us with this scheme. We are limited on site to enhance what is an already a biodiverse project and so schemes such as this allow us to reach out into the wider community of Abergavenny allowing us to uplift the town as a whole.”
