👩🏫 Using the Knowledge Quad, we have delivered two rounds of CSCS card training, where ten Greenwich residents successfully obtained their CSCS card
🏢 The Knowledge Quad was used by LSEC for Quantity Surveying lessons until Friday 15th March.
🏢 On Monday 18th March, a 14-week accredited construction programme started for Greenwich NEETs using the Knowledge Quad and the vacant flats to carry out practical work experience. 11 young people (NEETs) completed the programme in June.
🏢 A second round of a 14-week study programme commenced on 16th September 2024 and 11 NEETs are taking part. This programme ends on Wednesday 18th December 2024.
🏢 From Thursday 28th November 2024, Shooters Hill College started delivering Multi Skills Level 2 courses to 16 students using the Knowledge Quad and void flats. The college is using the quad and flats every Thursday and Friday until the 13th of December 2024.
Wider Community Engagement
- Starting November 27th, Shooters Hill College started using the Knowledge Quad and the void flats on site compound to deliver their Multi Skills Lessons to Level 2 students. The college will use the Quad and flats Thursday and Friday until 13th December 2024. This group also received a site tour by Marcus and Jemima.
- On 12th December, the teanm welcomed 16 learners from Shooters Hill College, who are entry level Multi Skills students for a site tour. Mike delivered a presentation followed by Raiyan and Marcus taking the students on a site tour.
- We met with LSEC (London South East College) in December to discuss the college using the Knowledge Quad starting the New Year to deliver the Quantity Surveying lessons. Dates have been agreed and booked for the HND students starting Friday 10th January 2025.
- The M.I.T Skills 14-week accredited construction study programme is going well and coming to an end on the 18th of December.
- Students have been busy this month sitting English, Maths and CSCS card exams.
- On 17th December, our Comms lead visited the group for one last time to capture their thoughts on the programme that young people have dedicated themselves to attending for the past 14-weeks.
- This month, the young learners on the 14-week study programme received a fantastic workshop from our Supply Chain Partner – Halsion. The young people got to learn some basic plumbing skills such as crimping and fusion welding.
- In November, our floor screeding subcontractor delivered a screeding workshop to the young people on the 14-week accredited study programme.
- In October, our drylining subcontractor Roskel delivered a drylining workshop to the young people on the 14-week accredited study programme.
