NNUH CDC project team hold 'Shirts for starters' toolbox talk on world mental health day
As part of World Mental Health Day (10 October), the NNUH CDC project team held a 'Shirts for Starters' toolbox talk with their supply chain, where the team wore a shirt of something they are interested in, in order to start an open conversation and build connections with others over some breakfast. Check out some examples below!
The supply chain were also introduced to the sites' Mental First Aiders and were reminded of the support available via our Employee Assistance Programme which is extended to our supply chain free of charge, for them to confidentially seek help if needed.
Danny Branson, Project Manager at NNUH CDC said:
The 'Shirts for Starters' initiative was a great ice breaker today to start conversations with our supply chain around the topic of mental health and for us to get to know the supply chain better, outside of work. Mental Health issues in the industry still remain a concern, that's why today was a great opportunity to remind the supply chain of the free and confidential support available to them. We hope highlighting this today, on World Mental Health day, has broken down some of the stigmas associated with talking about mental health & wellbeing, and built some open and friendly connections with our team, should they need to reach out.
