Work Experience held on site!
As part of a week-long work experience programme held across our East business, the NNUH CDC project team saw 16 students embark on the live site to gain some invaluable first-hand insight into healthcare construction.
Day 4 of the East's work experience programme first saw the project team induct a site tour where the team were able to showcase different aspects of health sector buildings compared to the previous sites the students had visited earlier on in the week.
Following this, the students undertook some Site Management activities, including inductions on the importance of quality, health and safety, and programming, as well as guidance from the team on how to create a risk assessment and a logistics plan for their 'wrap up of the week' project task.
After lunch, a cyber security activity was delivered on the importance of staying safe online, including password protection and how your data can be used. Finally, the day finished with a CV & interviews workshop delivered by Social Value Manager, Helen Clements, with the aim of preparing students for future job prospects and improving their employability skills.
