Creating sustainable employment opportunities

We are delighted that this project provides the opportunity to support and develop those starting out in their construction career pathway.

We are working with W M Donald on the project – a civil engineering contractor committed to training the construction workforce of the future. W M Donald work closely with Barnado’s Works Highlands who provide young people with the life skills and confidence to join the world of work. Through W M Donald’s partnership with Barnardo’s they now have two General Construction Apprentices and one Trainee Civil Engineer working as part of the team. Well done to W M Donald, we look forward to working with you to help nurture and develop the young people on the Newton Nursery project.

At Morgan Sindall, talented people are key to our success. We are thrilled to have Calum Murray, Trainee Quantity Surveyor, and Alex McDonald, Trainee Site Manager working with us on this project. Calum and Alex will gain first class on-the-job experience supported by line management and the wider team of skilled colleagues, giving them the exposure and opportunity to learn and to successfully complete their apprenticeships whilst achieving their degrees. We are delighted to have them on board, and look forward to supporting both Calum and Alex as their careers develop with us.
