HERE'S THE LATEST PROJECT UPDATE
Site activities:
- Following the top soil removal and formation of the infiltration basin, we have excavated the learner pool and main pools and formed 7 of the concrete strip foundations.
- We have also installed one of our underground surface water attenuation tanks and commenced the installation of the external drainage elements.
- We have completed a full asbestos survey of the existing buildings.
Community Engagement:
- On 10th March, Norma (Social Value Manager) and Ashley (Marketing Manager) attended a Careers Fair at Henlow CofE Academy which was attended by 500+ students.
- On 21st March, Norma, Reef, along with 3 members of our supply chain attended a Careers Fair at Central Bedfordshire College
- Bipin Mepani presented a Careers Talk to students of Oak Bank School on the 23rd March, to two year 8 and a year 10 classes. He talked about the many roles in construction and the many different routes into these careers.
What's next:
- In April, we plan to commence the asbestos removal from the existing school building
- Start to form the swimming pool floors in concrete and cast more foundations to receive the steel structure
