Site activities:

  • Following the completion of the topsoil removal and formation of the infiltration basin, we have now excavated the learner pool & main pools and formed 9 of the concrete strip foundations.
  • We have also installed one of our underground surface water attenuation tanks and commenced the installation of the external drainage.
  • We have also completed the asbestos survey to the existing buildings.

Community Engagement:

We have had a busy month engaging with local schools and colleges. Members of the site team and supply chain having attended careers fairs at Henlow CofE Academy and Central Beds College. Whilst Bipin Mepani presented career talks to students at Oak Bank School.

Upcoming work in April:

  • In April, we plan to commence the asbestos removal from the former school building and start to form and pour concrete to the main pool and learner pool floors.
  • We will also commence works to the concrete foundations to receive the structural steel frame and progress the installation of the perimeter drainage.
