News |

45/45

Well done to the Healthfield Youth Hub project team who achieved top marks in their latest audit with the Considerate Constructors Scheme. Here's a little snapshot of how they achieved it!

Respect the Community 👐

15/15

  • Excellent pre-start liaison, addressing tree issues sensitively, providing free parking, and maintaining transparency on key concerns.
  • Minimising community impact by implementing a traffic plan to avoid peak hours, maintaining clear access for Co-op deliveries, and using a micro-site for real-time updates.
  • Ensuring site safety and cleanliness through well-maintained hoarding, CCTV, drainage solutions, and a tidy operation; proactively managing complaints and promoting respect for the community.
  • Supported positive community impact through local employment, donations to youth projects, environmental initiatives, and efforts to reduce carbon footprint through sustainable practices.

Care for the environment 🌎

15/15

  • Extensive Environmental Management Plan in line with ISO 14001 standards.
  • Environmental plans and performance are communicated via a community board at the site entrance and updates on the project microsite and social media, ensuring transparency and public engagement.
  • Protection Plan implemented to protect landscapes and watercourses.
  • Involvement in Morgan Sindall's 10 Tonne Challenge initiative.
  • All members of the supply chain undergoing environmental training as part of our commitment to sustainability, emphasising best practices for reducing carbon footprints.

Value the workforce 👷

15/15

  • Ensuring workforce competency and legitimacy through rigorous vetting, right-to-work checks, and Modern Slavery training
  • Promoting construction careers through hosting careers events at local schools, facilitating speed interviews for students, and employing a Year-Out Site Manager to support on-site learning.
  • Flexible work arrangements are available to accommodate diverse personal circumstances, ensuring a better work-life balance.
  • Inclusive well-fare facilities with proactive promotion of well being and health resources for whole workforce.
This exciting project in a semi rural community is providing much needed facilities for the youth of today and tomorrow and the entire site operation is clearly committed to the best standards' of communication both of general information but also environmental performance by evidence and contribute to the community in which they share.
Thank you Harry, a most impressive site and a real pleasure to understand the exceptional performances that you have already been able to achieve.
