- The work carried out by Morgan Sindall will enable COPFS Estates Strategy to fulfil its Scotland-wide commitment to embrace the drive towards using renewable energy, tackling climate change and meeting its targets of reducing carbon emissions by 2.5% each year, becoming completely carbon neutral by 2040.

About the project
COPFS Elgin Retrofit will turn Elgin’s Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service (COPFS) office into a modern, eco-friendly and energy-efficient space.
The project will deliver extensive decarbonisation works to allow the office to sustainably reduce costs and capture natural renewable sources through the utilisation of air source heat pumps and photovoltaic panels. The scope of works include replacing all windows with triple glazed units, installing a new heating system via a combined VRF and wet radiator system, and insulating all external walls and roofs. A new façade to the front will also give the building a new lease of life.
