Students tour site!
Today on site the team welcomed first year electrical students from Crawley College, who are currently studying for their NVQ level 2, for a site visit to see the progress on site at the Crawley Innovation Centre.
The site team gave a briefing and a site tour of the project, explaining where the project currently was in terms of progress and explained different elements of works. During the site tour Richie, Apprentice Site Manager, was able to give them an insight into first fix and second fix electrical works.
The site tour allowed the students to see the project at different stages throughout the three floors and allowed them to see electrical operatives carrying out works. At the end of the tour, the team engaged in a brief QA with the students so they could understand more about the project.

It was another great morning showing students round our current project in Crawley to give an insight of a live environment on a construction site. Opportunities like this were always really useful when I was studying to see how the theory is implemented on an actual project. I was happy that I could pass the experience on within my career and offer any advice and answers to questions that the students have about entering the industry
