This week, the site team welcomed first-year electrical students from Crawley College to tour the project, see current progress and give them an insight into a live site environment.

Key facts
- The modernisation of this existing office building will provide Crawley Borough Council with a physical environment in which hi-tech small business tenants operate alongside larger organisations in delivering research, innovation and technological development and tech product development
- Clean and Green Energy – The introduction of a solar PV system will help support Crawley’s strategy to reduce carbon emissions across its building stock, delivering low or zero carbon energy alternatives.
- To seed a new business environment within Manor Royal that will help transform a large industrial area into an industrial INNOVATION district
- Collaborating with local community and using local suppliers to ensure re-investment within the local area
- Due to be complete in Autumn 2024
About the project
The Crawley Innovation Centre project involves converting 24,500 square feet of commercial space across three floors in the former Travel House building into custom business space, introducing new solar and highly energy-efficient technologies to provide a low-carbon solution.
