Work Experience held on site!
It was a pleasure to host 2 of our sponsored students for work experience at Cosham Fire Station during February Half Term.
Harrison is studying Level 3 Construction and the Built Environment at Eastleigh College and Rhys is currently doing his Level 1 Carpentry at Southampton College. The week opened their eyes to the real world of working and they were given an extra challenge of travelling during a rail bus replacement week too!
Rhys spent some of his time alongside a supervisor from Dryden Carpentry and they were both paired with one of our Site Managers, Maciej to understand the day-to-day running of a larger construction site.
Susan Dee, Social Value Manager, Morgan Sindall added
It was a pleasure to host both these students to complete the required 30 hours work experience for their college course requirements. Rhys demonstrated good work ethic and good practical knowledge at the early stage of his carpentry development. Harrison exemplified high levels of confidence, was very engaged and willing to learn all aspects of site management. They are very welcome to do more work experience on any of our sites in the future and we look forward to continuing our relationship with them both.”
