Temporary highways changes in relation to Chester Road Hostel site
As principal contractor working on behalf of Camden Council on the above site, we would like to inform you of the above which will be necessary to deliver the second phase of the works.
As part of this it will be necessary to provide a loading area adjacent to the site on Dartmouth Park Hill to allow the servicing of the site using a Tower Crane. The associated plans are available on the Project Websites and will be displayed on the site hoardings.

The loading area will occupy 6 number permit holder bays on the western side of Dartmouth Park Hill and is expected to be in place from 2nd October 2024 and to remain in place for 18 months.
In order to provide access to construction vehicles into the site, it will also be necessary to temporarily suspend 4 number permit holder bays on Chester Road. These will be replaced with a timed loading restriction that will permit parking and loading outside of the hours of control (6.30pm – 08.00am). This arrangement is expected to be in place from 19th August 2024 and to remain in place for 3 months.
In addition to these changes, it will also be necessary to close the existing pedestrian crossing on Dartmouth Park Hill opposite the Cricks Corner coffee shop due to the footway closure needed as part of the loading area. A diversion will be put in place to re-direct pedestrians to cross at the existing zebra crossing further north on Dartmouth Park Hill, opposite No.104 Dartmouth Park Hill.
These changes will be delivered using temporary traffic restrictions (TTR). Please provide any comments on the above proposals within 14 days of the above date by writing to the Project Manager, Sam Breaks, at either the London office address or by using the following email addresses: 2ChesterRoadHostel@camden.gov.uk and monica.paul@morgansindall.com. A copy of the draft updated CMP for the works can also be requested from this address.
