SmartSTEMS in partnership with UHI Moray

Andrew Taylor, Callum Murray, Nicole McIntosh, and Rachael Topping had a wonderful time supporting this all-day event, working to educate various high schools in The Highlands on STEM careers and opportunities within the construction industry. The team were delighted with how interactive the pupils were and had a great chat at our career exhibit and during our workshops about STEM careers and challenged some common misconceptions about construction.

The groups loved our activity which seen them hiring a Project Manager, Quantity Surveyor, and additional staff to price a job and complete it, from cradle to grave - getting it right first time. The team even threw in some material costs and challenges to make them really think… and it turns out, they absolutely loved it!

The project team also sponsored the schools’ transport to the event which amounted to £500.
