Why SCAPE?

Creating a world everyone deserves.

Now more than ever, local authorities are under pressure to deliver public services that not only offer exceptional value for money but also provide meaningful benefits to the local community and environment.

SCAPE has positioned itself as the UK's leading procurement authority in the public sector as it actively helps its clients meet these challenges head on. Since its introduction in 2006, it has partnered with more than 1,000 public bodies to accelerate 12,000 education, defence, healthcare, emergency services, leisure and industrial projects through its OJEU compliant, direct award framework.

As local government representatives, they offer a simple promise: To deliver your essential projects to the highest possible standard.

Delivering better, together

Working in close collaboration with SCAPE, Morgan Sindall Construction and its sister companies, Overbury and Lovell, have successfully been delivering public sector projects through the framework for almost a decade. Clients can rely on us to deliver a full range of services, from small works and fit outs right up to £75+ million build programmes across every sector in England, Scotland and Wales.

Mark Robinson, SCAPE chief executive, said: “Morgan Sindall are a long-standing delivery partner and bring a wealth of experience, consistently delivering outstanding projects with social value embedded at their very heart.

Enhancing local communities and environments

Through our collaborative approach and dedication to Perfect Delivery, we have consistently proven our ability to complete projects to the highest standard, both on time and on budget. More than this though, we have developed pioneering carbon, social value and digital tools for our customers to better enhance their projects and help transform the lives of the local communities they serve.

Reducing carbon

In partnering with local authorities to help tackle the climate emergency, we have developed our own carbon calculator tool, CarboniCa. Independently verified, it is able to estimate, manage and reduce whole life carbon emissions through the design, construction and operational phases of the build.

Used on every SCAPE project, it provides you with reliable data on the carbon footprint of your project to help ensure it is built in line with your own carbon commitments.

Reinvesting in local

Although Morgan Sindall Construction has a national presence, it operates a decentralised philosophy. This means each of our regional businesses are responsible for ensuring its activities directly benefit the local communities it serves. They are also committed to creating long-lasting, environmentally sustainable communities.

That’s why on every SCAPE project, we agree a social value charter with the client to ensure at least 30% of the project’s value is reinvested back into the local community. This is achieved through a number of social value initiatives, such as the recruitment and employment of employees and apprentices, the support of mentoring and training programmes for unemployed or under-represented groups and by supporting local SMEs through our Work Radar programme.

Working with us

With a dedicated framework team, both within SCAPE and Morgan Sindall Construction, we promise to be there for you every step of the way – from early inception concepts, right through to post occupancy support, and everything in between.
