Our work with Pagabo
The Pagabo national framework supports public sector organisations across the UK by providing EU compliant framework agreements, a DPS, and bespoke consultancy - delivered and backed up by a team of MCIPS qualified procurement professionals with a huge range of experience.
Pagabo have four approaches to their work, which work in tandem with our approach too – Simplicity, Understanding, Flexibility and Transparency.
Simplicity, by keeping things simple and making procurement quicker, easier and more effective. We empower ours teams to make key decisions at every stage of the project, means everyone achieves their desired results.
Understanding, our combined public and private sector procurement experience across a range of categories means that we understand your challenges. We don’t take a one size fits all approach with our projects, but instead utilise our skills and experience of our Intelligent Solutions approach to support our customers to define their needs.

Project highlight
The largest school currently in construction in UK
The new three-story campus will offer 2,200 places, an increase of 440, helping to cater for the growing population in Kenilworth, a market town six miles southwest of Coventry.
The design includes extensive teaching and social provision including two floodlit all-weather pitches, natural grass pitches and hard-court areas; a dining room with “grab-and-go” options, hall and theatre, community sports and changing facilities, and a special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) suite.
Once complete, the community and local sports clubs will have use of new sports and leisure facilities and community groups will be able to hire the hall/theatre and other facilities at the school. The local air cadet group, 496 (Kenilworth & Balsall Common) Squadron, will also be invited to share the facilities.
Project highlight
Collaborating to create a fossil-free school in Milton Keynes
Glebe Farm is a brand-new all-through school which sits on a 95,000 square metre site - larger than 13 football pitches.
The building is completely fossil-fuel free, following council’s objective so as part of the design the team eliminated all gas-sourced power. Even the little details have been considered – the Bunsen burners in the Science labs run on electricity.
Over 500 solar panels on the roof and the heating is powered by ground source heat pumps. Collaboration is local supply chain is also an important objective as part of our work with Pagabo and as a result we engaged with our suppliers to create carbon-reducing solutions as part of the build process.
Project highlight
Supporting Jewson to enhance their local community and generate £4.5m of social value
With only five people leading the day-to-day management of the brand-new Jewson branch in Chesterfield, this seemingly little, but ambitious team made a big difference. This £10.1m project delivered £4.5m of social value. As part of the project a 90% spend with local supply chain was achieved, alongside 120 volunteer hours per person (against a target of 5) and £15,000 made in charitable donations.
The project team were ideally placed given their locality to the site to support the ‘Made in Chesterfield’ campaign which aimed to promote manufacturing and construction industries to local secondary schools. They also brought their team spirit to a charity football match against Jewson which raised £13,000 for local charity Ashgate Hospice.

A fantastic space to support student wellbeing
The team delivered the Student Life Building and Sports Building as part of a project with Liverpool John Moore’s University, Copperas Hill development. The £64.5m development has regenerated a key gateway site next to Liverpool Lime Street station. Within the buildings are fantastic spaces for students to support their wellbeing including advice centres, private and group meeting and study areas, a gym, multi-use sports halls and courts as well as attractive public open spaces, benefitting the local community as well as students and staff.
Throughout the project, we worked in tandem to ensure the scheme had maximum impact on the regional economy and the educational prospects of local students.
Nearly half of our 1,398-strong project workforce was newly recruited from the local area, in addition to its staff already employed by the company based in Liverpool and the surrounding areas.
The established methodology Local Multiplier 3 (LM3), which calculates the economic impact made within the region a construction project is based, has revealed that as a result of this commitment a £108 million return on investment was produced in terms of social value.
