How has CarboniCa enabled us to decarbonise local communities for our customers?
Our innovative carbon calculation tool, CarboniCa is unique as it measures whole life carbon emissions at the building design and construction stages and entire lifecycle. Since its launch in 2021, we've been able to save thousands of tonnes of carbon being emitted into the atmosphere with its output, pinpointing exactly where carbon savings can be made and ensuring our customers can make environmentally-friendly decisions based on meaningful and robust data.

How MySchool, our platform-based design tool was used to deliver much needed school places
Due to a high demand for student places in the Small Heath area, Birmingham City Council commissioned us to design and build the new Star Academies Islamic faith girls’ school which has now created 600 additional places for Muslim-faith female students.
Our MySchool system has been the result of years of development, investment and expertise in delivering automated design and repeatable standardised solutions. It is a design solution which offers the speed and cost-effectiveness of a pre-designed model, but with scope to add bespoke, flexible elements.
Where modular construction was used to meet tight deadlines
Using intelligent solutions to deliver schools in record time.
Our team were tasked to deliver two schools, each within a nine month window. They used a volumetric modular approach which saved time as the buildings were manufactured offsite in the factory of our supplier, Eco Modular, which meant groundworks could be completed simultaneously. Hackwood School and Highfields School both demonstrate the productivity savings that can be made by utilsing modern methods of construction.
