North West Regional Supply Chain Event 2024

Event

On Tuesday 24th September, Morgan Sindall's North West region held its annual supply chain event and award ceremony at the Lowry venue in Salford Quays. The event drew an impressive turnout, with more than 130 members of our supply chain in attendance.

During the event, guests engaged with presentations from the Morgan Sindall team, which offered valuable insights into pertinent industry themes and upcoming work opportunities in our project pipeline. Table discussions explored important topics such as social value, sustainability, and the Building Safety Act.

Attendees also had the chance to interact with social enterprises within Morgan Sindall’s supply chain, who were exhibiting at the venue. This provided an opportunity to explore their contributions and discuss opportunities to collaborate on projects.

The event served as an occasion to celebrate the collective achievements of our supply chain partners who are involved in our live and recently completed projects such as Hammerstone Road Depot Refurbishment, UCLan School of Veterinary Medicine and our DfE Schools projects including Newhouse Academy and Dixons Academy.

The event culminated a series of awards to recognise the outstanding work being undertaken by our supply chain partners. The winners, who are detailed below, will go forward into Morgan Sindall's National Supply Chain awards to take place later this year.

The Innovation Award

WINNER - Oculo

"This year’s category offered the perfect opportunity to recognise a solution that, from my initial on-site test, proved to be an exceptional fit for our business, not just regionally in the North West but across the UK. Oculo’s technology combines accessible consumer-level camera equipment with advanced, novel software that leverages AI to integrate 360-degree images with 2D plans and 3D BIM models. This innovation significantly enhances our image records, supporting various aspects of construction, including quality control, health and safety, and the handover process. The platform’s continuous development, with new functionalities being tested and implemented regularly, underscores its value and impact. The Safety Award

WINNER - JA Burke Ltd

The Service Provider Award

The Climate Action Award

WINNER - European Metal Recycling (EMR)
